The first chapter of Chris' career lasted nearly 15 years in the corporate world where he severed as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for two different corporations, one public, one private.  The second chapter began when he and his wife Jamie started Cyr Financial Wealth Advisors in 1999.

Chris focuses on helping families with complete retirement and income planning.  He specializes in helping clients understand the best approaches for investing in retirement, protecting what they have and tax minimization strategies. As the President and Chief Investment officer of Cyr Financial Wealth Advisors, he oversees the firm's Retirement 22 process and Investment Strategy. 

Chris holds a master’s in finance from the University of Illinois-Chicago and a bachelor’s in finance from Eastern Illinois University. He has been a CPA since 1999, has several Securities licenses including Series 7, 66 and 63 and licensed in all lines of insurance.

His passion is speaking to audiences nationwide about his love for investing, retirement and sharing the ideas and research behind his investment and tax saving strategies. He has been featured on Strategic Investor Radio and the National Association of Active Investment Managers’ Shark Tank competition.  Chris has also been published or quoted several national media news outlets including MSN, Yahoo News, CBS News, U.S. News and World Report.

Chris and his wife Jamie share time in Hennepin, Illinois and Sarasota, Florida.  They have three adult children, Joseph, Emma and Benjamin. In his spare time, Chris enjoys golfing, gardening, pickle ball, bicycling and volunteering his time on several boards of municipal and non-profit organizations.
